It is believed that grapefruit is a thermogenic food, those kind that use more calories to digest than they contain.
And when you eat thermogenic food your core temperature rises and this causes your metabolism to speed up.  And as you probably know a faster metabolism means more calories burned and more weight loss.

Also, the use of celery, another thermogenic food.  It is very low in calories and has a very mild taste, hence easier to include in any meal.  Celery is also an excellent source of Vitamin C, which help support the immune system and is a
cold fighter.  Celery is about 95% water, very alkaline and can be easily eaten anywhere, anytime as a handy weight loss snack.  Every time you have a piece of celery, you get a metabolic boost.  So, basically, celery is used in weight loss diets

Green tea is the drink with thermogenic effect. The existence of gymnemic acid and cannatic found in them will slow down the absorption of sugar into the blood, sugar, which is one of the main cause of weight gain as well as carbohydrates.  Drinking green teas inhibits our body’s ability to digest them.

You want whole grains because they’re naturally low in fat and cholesterol free; contain 10 to 15% protein and other healthy fibre, minerals, antioxidants and vitamins.  With all those nutrients togeter, whole grain is associated with many health benefits including protection from obesity and heart disease.

It’s well to take part in diet in the right, but if you do it do it right.  Dieting alone is not good enough you need to consider other food groups as well as exercise, which will help you burn even more calories.
